What does "500 to 1,200 horsepower depending on application" mean?
It means we don't build to a number, we build to a job. A long-haul truck that needs reliability and fuel economy sits at one end of that range; a heavy-haul or show build sits at the other. The application decides the power level, and the power level decides what the cooling, fueling and drivetrain have to be able to handle.
Can you build my existing engine, or do I need a core?
Either. We assess your engine first — block, crank, heads — and tell you whether it's a sound foundation for the build you want. If it isn't, we'll talk through the options before any work starts.
Will a higher-horsepower build hurt reliability?
Not if the rest of the truck is built to support it. That's why we treat the engine as a system: cooling, fuel delivery, transmission and driveline all get matched to the power target. We won't chase a number the truck can't live with.
Is a custom engine build the same as an engine rebuild?
No. A rebuild returns an engine to its original spec. A custom build changes the spec — power level, components and supporting systems are chosen for your application. If you just need the truck back to factory health, our diesel engine repair and rebuild service is the right fit.
